Health Center Manager - Winnemucca

We are proud to partner with the Newmont Mining Corporation and Barrick Gold Corporation in Winnemucca, NV and currently have an opportunity for Health Center Manager to join our Golden Valley Family Medical Center. The qualified candidate's responsibilities will include the coordination of all aspects of the medical and administrative functions at the medical center.

Responsibilities Include:

• Oversees the management of a single site (10-14 headcount, excluding providers)
• Manages staff typically composed of RNs, Administrative staff, and technical roles (Radiology, Physical Therapy etc.).  Manages multiple technical Team Leaders and monitors all daily operational processes for Medical Leaders and providers
• Assists in the creation of site specific goals and measurements related to the needs of the client
• Compiles input for the performance appraisal process for all staff members by ensuring that goals are set with colleagues to reach peak performance with the clinic.
• Responsible for following appropriate processes for hiring, staff development and performance management and provides input to Director, Site Operations for the final decision. 
• Manages daily operations, workflow, work schedules, and timecard monitoring, to ensure efficient and effective health center performance
• Identifies process improvement opportunities and presents resolutions and recommendations to the Director, Site Operations
• Makes recommendation regarding staffing model based on objective scheduling & volume analysis – presents to Director, Site Operations for approval
• Completes incident reports as needed and provides information to the Medical Care & Outcomes department for purposes of quality and risk management
• Manages internal budget, reviews expenses, purchases supplies, inventories equipment, medication, lab tests etc.
• May serve as a client contact and provide reports and summaries of health center activities.
• Communicates and coordinates Corporate messages and ensures implementation of policies or procedures is followed by conducting regular staff meetings and providing these updates on a regular basis
• Works collaboratively with the Medical Leader at the site to manage internal medical staff site issues.

While working at this large employer site, you will have the ability to get to know your patients, while helping to improve their health status and taking care of their immediate health needs. Health Center is open Monday-Friday with a half day on Saturdays.

• Minimum three year's management experience in healthcare setting preferably in hospital, primary care or urgent care setting.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Prior management experience managing in a large group setting required.
• Excellent computer skills (Internet software and Microsoft Office) and Electronic Medical Record Software required.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and work-flow management skills.
• Previous training as a clinician and business manager is a plus.
• Knowledge of radiology, laboratory, fitness and occupational health and pharmacy service lines is highly recommended.
