Surgical Oncologist
LVHN is searching for a fellowship-trained surgical oncologist with a broad range of interests. Expertise in the surgical areas of upper GI, hepatobiliary, pancreas and soft tissue are highly preferred but all candidates will be given consideration. Applicants should also possess a passion for quality medicine and teaching residents and medical students. The successful candidate will join a group practice of four surgical oncologists with skills in a variety of innovative techniques such as laparoscopic liver surgery and regional chemotherapy. The surgeons work closely with the multi-disciplinary cancer team which received Network Cancer Program accreditation as a result of superior outcomes and integrated care.
LVHN’s cancer program offers leading edge technology including gamma knife and, coming soon, proton beam therapy. Over 20 tumor boards are held each month and physicians and patients are participating in 140 national studies (ECOG, NSABP, NCCTG and industry trials). Our cancer center is named among the top 50 in the United States plus we are listed in the top 1% of all cancer centers in the nation with regard to patient satisfaction.
